Great Ways to evangelize YOUR world…

Reaching the lost can have so many meanings when it comes to evangelism. It is said that many things will either fall into one of three categories.

High Risk-Low Grace,
Medium Risk-Medium Grace,
Low Risk-High Grace.

An example of High Risk, Low Grace would be the example of door knocking the neighbourhood sharing the message of Jesus. One may have to have many doors slammed in their face before they find that one person who may be searching spiritually.

An example of Medium Risk, Medium Grace would be the same person door knocking, but this time with something to offer, perhaps to offer to replace a blown lightbulb, or offer to give a free battery for the smoke detector with the emphasis on expressing a message of Jesus.

An example of Low Risk, High Grace, would perhaps fall into the category of community type service with very little mention of the gospel at all.

I am of the opinion that methods used 5, 10 or 20 years are no longer effective to a society that demands things in an instant. Now because of the age we live in, this is not a bad thing. It simply means we need to change the way we communicate to them. What do I mean?

I was reading Nehemiah recently, and Nehemiah paid his workers with choice sheep and oxen. It got me to thinking, if I would really like to be paid with animals instead of money in the bank. It is not wrong. It is simply not applicable to the age we live in. The form of payment has simply changed.

The same applies when we communicate to people about the message of salvation. Offering just a spiritual (unseen) need, i believe is not as effective as providing a physical need to open the heart to a spiritual need.

So I said all that to share below a list that I found, of ideas that can help share the gospel in a real and tangible way. BUT, I do believe that a spiritual element needs to be added, perhaps phrases like. “I am doing this, to express God’s unconditional love for you.” or “This is just a way of showing that a real God is thinking of you and loves you very much”
