Great Ways to evangelize YOUR world…

Reaching the lost can have so many meanings when it comes to evangelism. It is said that many things will either fall into one of three categories.

High Risk-Low Grace,
Medium Risk-Medium Grace,
Low Risk-High Grace.

An example of High Risk, Low Grace would be the example of door knocking the neighbourhood sharing the message of Jesus. One may have to have many doors slammed in their face before they find that one person who may be searching spiritually.

An example of Medium Risk, Medium Grace would be the same person door knocking, but this time with something to offer, perhaps to offer to replace a blown lightbulb, or offer to give a free battery for the smoke detector with the emphasis on expressing a message of Jesus.

An example of Low Risk, High Grace, would perhaps fall into the category of community type service with very little mention of the gospel at all.

I am of the opinion that methods used 5, 10 or 20 years are no longer effective to a society that demands things in an instant. Now because of the age we live in, this is not a bad thing. It simply means we need to change the way we communicate to them. What do I mean?

Being a beacon of light in a dark world

Today I was talking to some friends about a story of the student and the professor that have the following discussion:

“Darkness is in reality the absence of light.”

The university professor challenged his students with this question. “Did God create everything that exists?” A student bravely replied, “Yes, He did!” “God created everything?” The professor asked. Yes sir”, the student replied. The professor answered, “If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then God is evil”.

List of websites to help Church Planting/Church Life

Recently a pastor friend of mine in the USA put together a list of websites that can help anyone who is interested in Church planting. In going through this list, it really is a list of various websites that can be a blessing to any ministry, regardless of whether you are about to launch or if you have been around for a number of years. Some of these links are very beneficial, I recommend bookmarking these for future use.

We hope that you will be able to find these useful. If you have others, we would like to hear about them. Building the Kingdom together!

If you have any others, would love it if you left a comment.

His Purpose is our Purpose…

I have just been ruined by God by reading one of the most compelling books I have read in a long time. This year has probably been one of those years that I will look back on in a few years that I will say… WOW! What a year. We are just past half way through the year, and I have accomplished so many of my goals for the year, but I know that God has so much for me still to come.

If I can summarise what this year has been like in one word, I would be likely to say… Revolutionised. (Revolutionized for my American friends ;) ). God continues to show himself faithful in leading me and tugging my heart to be more like Him. I just love that about our wonderful Daddy. He is always there until we are ready to move more into Him.

Just of late, after returning from a trip from a conference at RHEMA in the USA, I was meditating on the Acts 17:28… “In Him, we live and move and exist…” I would have to say that this scripture is just such a foundational place in God. Let me share with you what I got out of this piece of God’s Word. Continue Reading…
